Welder

Staffworks Group is looking for Experienced Mig Welders for a company specializing in fabricating grating and platforms. This is a “job shop” environment located in Maple Heights, and our client is an established company covering all aspects of fabrication.

The MIG Welders here perform complete Cut To Size, Cutouts, and Welding from take-offs and drawings . This positions is meant to be a career jobs with the customer, NOT short-term.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read blueprints and shop drawings to weld metal parts according to specifications
• Work with other Welders to cut and weld bar bands
• Make all welding machine adjustments to meet company and customer weld quality
• Make machine adjustments to adhere to hold tight tolerance standards
• Inspect all manufactured parts to assure quality standards are held
• Use of general industry tools such as calipers, height gauge, squares, protractor, and tape measure

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a “job shop” setting
• Must have background in both steel welding practices
• Must be able to make all welding machine adjustments to meet company and customer weld quality.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings
• Experience using general industry tools such as calipers, height gauge, squares, protractor, and tape measure
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day
• Must have steel toes
