Job Description
Staffworks Group has a great opportunity for a SHIPPING MANAGER, located in St. Petersburg, FL.

This is a government contractor and so anyone to be consider will be required to undergo a Background check and drug screen successfully.
EDUCATION: HS diploma required; Basic computer skills, Associates degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years’ experience with shipping and inventory. Management experience preferred.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for timely shipment of orders as directed by the Customer Service Manager according to procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Responsible for delegating orders, maintaining work load and assigning tasks to members of shipping department
- Maintain and improve the integrity of the inventory processes and systems
- Identify areas for improvements and efficiency and implementation
- Verify all incoming products and ensure appropriate storage and documentation
- Responsible for the arrangement and organization of finished goods shelves including assembling, labeling and stocking using FIFO
- Conduct weekly status meetings to inform department of changes and give feedback to employees
- Compile necessary information to complete daily reporting
- Respond to correspondence
- Complete knowledge of products and ongoing learning related to products and the prosthetic industry
- Oversee daily shipping duties and monitor volume shipped
- Assist with training and coaching of all shipping employees
- Serve as main contact for all shipping inquiries
- Prepare shipping documents necessary for all domestic and international shipments
- Complete documents for Customer Service
- Sales Orders with information on parts shipped; lot tracker scan sheet; tracking labels
- Contact freight companies for pickup of international domestic shipments when needed
- Mandatory attendance during the last weekend of every month as needed
- Must meet current daily shipping goals/quotas
- Ensure a safe and inclusive work place
- Create, assign and facilitate projects for the shipping departments to create more efficient and smart practices and improvement.
- Manage shipping supplies and re-orders as needed
- Mandatory coordination and assistance at the annual inventory
- Assist with new products and projects as they occur
- Other duties as assigned
MENTAL & PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 75lbs
- Near visual activity and accommodation required for computer operation
- Ability to communicate on current telephone system
- Office environment, i.e. moderate noise levels. No physical hazards identified
- Near activity and hand/eye coordination required for proper packaging
- Able to hear in a production setting; machinery, loud noises, etc.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a shipping environment
- The ability to stay focused on the requirements of the customer
This is a fulltime position with overtime required as business needs arise.

Pay rate: $21.63/hr
