Floor Inspector
Shift: 3rd (11:00 pm to 7:00 am)
Pay Range: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour, depending on experience
 
Staffworks Group is seeking a Floor Inspector for a manufacturer of high-pressure aluminum and zinc die cast components located in Macedonia, OH.
 
Floor Inspectors ensure that parts being produced in the manufacturing areas are quality parts as defined in the procedure manual and the essential duties and responsibilities listed below.  
 
Major Duties:
  • Visually inspect last shot cast and last shot trimmed
  • Check production parts for good quality
  • Document inspection result on log and quality instructions
  • Review rejected production
  • Communicate with operator and/or degator regarding quality concerns
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of GD&T is preferred
  • Must be able to operate various inspection equipment located in the quality lab
  • Should be able to read blueprints
  • Have experience with mics, calipers, optical comparator, spectrolab, profilometer, hardness tester, and first piece inspections
  • Able to operate and program a CMM is preferred
  • No degree required, but experience is preferred
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed
