Job Description

Staffworks Group is hiring for Laser Operator in Holland, OH. As a Laser Operator, you will operate both the rotary and flat lasers to correctly laser cut die boards according to the work order.
 
Weekly Pay, PTO, Health benefits
Shift: 2nd Shift 
2 pm- 10 pm
Monday - Friday 
 
Job Description:  
  • Receive work order jackets for the Holland plant and receive orders for the other plants in Outlook.  Review and prioritize according to due date taking into account time needed in other areas for the job to be completed on time.
  • Select the proper wood length and thickness based on customer specifications.
  • Retrieve the appropriate file for the work order and review the file for accuracy.
  • Drill bolt holes in the die board and bolt the die board to the laser cylinder.
  • Cut wooden die boards according to the work order using the appropriate laser.
  • Troubleshoot problems with the laser based on sight and hearing.
  • Change gas cylinders used in the laser process: carbon dioxide, helium, and nitrogen.
  • Assist with maintenance of machinery as needed.
  • Performs all job duties safely and in accordance with the company quality guidelines.
  • Performs general housekeeping to keep the area clean.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
 
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to read and understand job order instructions.
  • Able to interact with all levels of employees and customers professionally.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to lift awkwardly shaped and large packages.
