Staffworks Group has a great opportunity for a SHIPPING MANAGER, located in St. Petersburg, FL.

This is a government contractor and so anyone to be consider will be required to undergo a Background check and drug screen successfully.

EDUCATION: HS diploma required; Basic computer skills,   Associates degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
 
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years’ experience with shipping and inventory. Management experience preferred.
 
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for timely shipment of orders as directed by the Customer Service Manager according to procedures.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  1. Responsible for delegating orders, maintaining work load and assigning tasks to members of shipping department
  2. Maintain and improve the integrity of the inventory processes and systems
  3. Identify areas for improvements and efficiency and implementation 
  4. Verify all incoming products and ensure appropriate storage and documentation
  5. Responsible for the arrangement and organization of finished goods shelves including assembling, labeling and stocking using FIFO
  6. Conduct weekly status meetings to inform department of changes and give feedback to employees
  7. Compile necessary information to complete daily reporting
  8. Respond to correspondence
  9. Complete knowledge of products and ongoing learning related to products and the prosthetic industry
  10. Oversee daily shipping duties and monitor volume shipped
  11. Assist with training and coaching of all shipping employees 
  12. Serve as main contact for all shipping inquiries
  13. Prepare shipping documents necessary for all domestic and international shipments
  14. Complete documents for Customer Service
  15. Sales Orders with information on parts shipped; lot tracker scan sheet; tracking labels
  16. Contact freight companies for pickup of international domestic shipments when needed
  17. Mandatory attendance during the last weekend of every month as needed
  18. Must meet current daily shipping goals/quotas
  19. Ensure a safe and inclusive work place
  20. Create, assign and facilitate projects for the shipping departments to create more efficient and smart practices and improvement.
  21. Manage shipping supplies and re-orders as needed
  22. Mandatory coordination and assistance at the annual inventory 
  23. Assist with new products and projects as they occur
  24. Other duties as assigned
 
MENTAL & PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time 
  • Able to lift up to 75lbs
  1. Near visual activity and accommodation required for computer operation  
  • Ability to communicate on current telephone system
  • Office environment, i.e. moderate noise levels. No physical hazards identified
  • Near activity and hand/eye coordination required for proper packaging
  • Able to hear in a production setting; machinery, loud noises, etc.
 
SPECIAL SKILLS: 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a shipping environment 
  • The ability to stay focused on the requirements of the customer
          
This is a fulltime position with overtime required as business needs arise.

Monday thru Friday
Pay rate: $21.63/hr
